Brett joined Philo following a distinguished career practicing as General Counsel, CFO and often both, for high-profile public and private companies. He started his career in tax law at Baker & McKenzie, later joining Amoco Corporation, where he worked in Geneva, Switzerland for 5-years. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Utah, and has closed $16B+ in transactions across the globe. Brett earned a joint JD/MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Economics from BYU; in addition, he is a licensed CPA. Brett currently lives outside Springville UT, enjoying the mountainous lifestyle and outdoors with his wife, Jean.
